Tech tycoon Elon Musk may be about to recreate the way we listen to music with the development of a chip under his startup “computer-brain” Neuralink.
In addition to being one of the biggest supporters of Kanye West in his fluctuating career for the President of the United States, Elon Musk is known primarily for being a tech savvy billionaire with a knack for making headlines in pop culture conversations. However, if your next project comes to fruition as planned, we could be entering a whole new era in the world of digital music streaming.
Through his computer-brain startup company Neuralink, Musk plans to implant thin cables into the brains of willing participants that can be synchronized with an external computer to create wireless synergy for various reasons, according to TechCrunch. Once the news reached Interwebs, all sorts of questions arose regarding its usability, questions that Elon Musk himself was happy to answer through his increasingly viral Twitter account. When a user asked if we could “listen to music directly from our chips”, Musk simply replied “Yes” in what we bet was in fact tone. He also made it clear that Neuralink would also be built to combat more serious problems, including eliminating quick shots for people with OCD and even stimulating the same effects of oxytocin and other drugs used to treat depression and mental health disorders. He then promised that a “progress update” for Neuralink will soon be shared on August 28.
