Dodge has been famous for squeezing its cars. Big blocks that have some pretty big turbochargers peeking out of the hood. If not, American muscle manufacturers have sedans for geeks. And SRT Hellcat Redeye is one of them. But recently something happened and the game has changed. The Redeye-treated Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat has become the fastest sedan in the world.
How did they do that?
To power the already powerful SRT Hellcat, a larger supercharger, reinforced pistons and bars, an improved fuel system and valves, and a revised transmission was added to the existing system. This gave the SRT Hellcat a high boost pressure of 14.5 psi.
In addition to being the fastest sedan in the world, the new SRT Hellcat now includes some new features. The SRT cooling system was introduced in 2021 Redeye, which takes the redirected air conditioner to cool the engine. A recently redesigned hood not only improves aerodynamics, air flow, and also cools the engine. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye 2021 receives an additional 10 hp boost.
In addition, some electronic enhancements have also been made to the system to give it an advantage in acceleration. Launch control maintains RPM at a constant speed, and Launch Assist monitors torque outputs once the vehicle is in motion to minimize skidding and wheel jumping. This allows about 800 hp on the Redeye model to get through the rear wheels only better than you are entitled to. But if you want to spin those rear wheels, Dodge has it covered with line lock, which keeps the front brakes on while letting the rear axle spin for maximum wear.
