Usain Bolt and Kasi Bennett welcomed their daughter Olympia Lightning to the world in the month of may.
And today, the proud parents posted some awesome photos of mother and daughter.
While little Olympia looks adorable in lace, Kasi radiates elegance in a dress tailored by Kadian Nicely. It features a sweetheart neckline, exaggerated bow sleeves and a full skirt that falls to the ground in a dramatic sweep. Well, we would not expect less!
But until now, the name, fit for the daughter of the fastest man ever and the eight-time Olympic Games gold medalist, had been kept secret.
The happy couple hosted a luxury gender reveal party in March that featured fireworks and a large roster of famous guests, after which Bolt told fans that she will become a “daddy’s girl.”
The sprint legend has been dating Bennett, four years his junior, since 2014, but the couple only went public in 2016.
Bolt confirmed that his girlfriend was pregnant in January when he posted an Instagram photo of her in a red dress holding her tummy.
In the legend, he added the words: “‘I just want to say that a KING or QUEEN is about to be HERE.”
Bolt retired from the track after the 2017 World Championship in London after suffering a hamstring injury in his final race.
The 11-time world champion remains the only man in history to win gold medals in three successive Olympics, in 2008, 2012 and 2016.
The Jamaican also holds world records in the 100m and 200m events that recorded 9.58 seconds and 19.19 seconds respectively at the 2009 World Championship in Berlin.
Meanwhile, Bennett lives in Jamaica, is an avid social media user and fashionista, currently having 345,000 followers on Instagram.
And it seems like the couple is in no rush to force little Olympia Lightning into athletics.
In the past, Bolt admitted that the burden of living up to his legacy can even actively discourage his kids from sports.
