Super Sport or SS is the exclusive performance option package supplied with Chevrolet on a wide variety of vehicles. All SS fashions come with distinctive “SS” markings on the exterior. The SS package deal was first made for the 1961 Impala. Some of the opposing fads bearing the SS insignia include Camaro, Chevelle, El Camino, Impala, Monte Carlo, Nova, and the Chevrolet station wagon. GM’s performance division produces current SS fashions.
The SS received the reliable 6.2L V8 engine that produces 415 hp. Supplied with guide drive as standard, or optionally available 6-speed computerized drive. The engine moves the car with ease. Plus, it sounds amazing. The transmission is a gradual piece in absorption, but then responds quickly to your inputs.
The Chevrolet SS weighs over 4,000 pounds but it doesn’t seem heavy. Respond quickly to your actions. The brake and accelerator are fast. It is claimed that “the brakes are a few inches from the tour with a slight bite before digging.” The brakes react directly in the event of an emergency stop.

The remote vehicle start system allows you to start the car on a cold morning while you are still indoors. Also, you can melt snow from the car by walking the defroster from afar. You can turn on the air conditioner to keep your car cool before entering a hot summer day.
Forward Collision Alert uses sensors and a forward-looking digital camera to detect the region in front of the car when there are miles running or any other equipment. When the system detects another vehicle, displays an icon, the icon will become an alert if you are getting too close to that vehicle.
