The new M3 and M4 are expected to come in new colors, and this Isle of Man Green looks pretty amazing and will definitely turn heads. Next, we get a glimpse of the gear stick in all its six-speed manual splendor; a refreshing and welcoming sight with all available automatic transmission options. BMW has released another set of smoky teasers intended to reveal some of the key features of the upcoming BMW M3 and M4.
Right away, we’ve got a very good take on BMW’s new kidney grille despite all that smoke, and since it’s an M car, we can expect a swooned treatment with subtle badging.
We can also take a look at the new BMW M4 seats, with the illuminated M4 logo and redesigned shoulder reinforcements and contrast piping. Fixed headrests and seat belt grommets are the highlight here. We like them, and we’re pretty sure they’ll have all the necessary adjustments to get the best seating position for all that manual shifting goodness.
Power is expected to come from a familiar 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine with 473 horsepower (353 kilowatts), while the upgraded Competition model will get 503 horsepower (375 kW). However, the Competition model will be limited to an automatic. I guess you can’t have it all. Expect the M3 and M4 to arrive in the United States next year.
