Roadrunner Project and Tesla Model S Plaid!
The Roadrunner project has been accelerated to scale up at Tesla’s Kato Road facility. The ongoing project aims to manufacture Tesla battery cells for Tesla vehicles. Electric car makers had relied on other sources to power the Tesla models, but things could change a bit now.
Recent documents submitted by the company to the city of Fremont indicate that Tesla has a “small-scale” battery manufacturing operation. The factory is making notable changes and hiring more workers, so 100 employees are working in manufacturing and production operations at any given time, all day, every day.
The details of the Roadrunner Project are minimal, which could thrill Tesla netizens and fans for Battery Day. Speculations about the millionth mile battery have already turned all eyes to Tesla. Better batteries could also help electric vehicles take advantage of even higher levels of performance. Fortunately, Tesla has a car aligned with that goal in mind. He was even sent to the Nurburgring last year, where he set unofficial records before being brought home to the United States. This means that something more powerful and faster than the Tesla Roadster could be on the pavement of the future could be the Tesla Model S Plaid.
The next Tesla Model S Plaid, according to the billionaire, will feature three electric motors that will allow the vehicle to perform even better than the already impressive Raven Model S Performance that is available today. Interestingly, neither Tesla nor Musk have spoken about the S Plaid’s battery.
