A barbecue is a very versatile way of cooking and the food tastes great. One of the easiest meats to cook on a barbecue is chicken that is full of protein and low in fat, especially breasts. In this recipe we use chicken breasts.
Imagine that you and your family have had a great day together, relaxing or enjoying what you like to do best. It has been a hot day and it is getting late in the afternoon. Your thoughts are directed to that question, what will we have for our dinner?
I don’t want to spend years preparing and cooking it. Ah, a barbecue you can think of. Below is a recipe that uses fresh and succulent chicken breasts. The breasts are meat and fat free, which is excellent if you are dieting or if you need low cholesterol foods.
For 4 people
4 large chicken breasts
1 large red pepper
1 large onion
1 dozen mushrooms
2 cloves of garlic
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
8 skewers (wood or metal)
Take the four large chicken breasts. Cut the forms of medium length. Then, cut several times to make manageable sizes that fit the skewers. Take the red pepper and cut it into four sections. Again cut lengthwise and remove the seeds and marrow.
Cut the peppers to make smaller pieces. The onion should also be cut into four sections of equal length and once again in the middle. Using a garlic crusher, crush the garlic cloves. Place the garlic in a small bowl, add the olive oil and mix well.
Take a skewer and put a piece of chicken. Then add a piece of red pepper and a mushroom. The onion can be added at the end as a great piece. Alternatively, using your fingers, separate some sections and put them after the red pepper and the fungus.
Repeat the process starting with a piece of chicken until you have filled the skewer. When you have made the eight skewers, sprinkle the salt and pepper to flavor it. Finally brush the mixture of olive oil and garlic to add to the flavor. This also prevents the chicken from sticking to the barbecue grill.
Put the skewers on the hot barbecue. Cook for approximately 15 minutes, turning the skewers to obtain a uniformly cooked kebab. Sprinkle the skewers 2 or 3 times with the garlic oil you just prepared.
Again, this keeps its culinary creation succulent and gives it a more “garlicy” flavor. When the kebabs are ready, place them on a plate with a small salad and enjoy a simple, fast, nutritious and delicious meal.
